Consortium on Forced Migration, Displacement, and Education
Bennington College’s student group on the Consortium on Forced Migration, Displacement, and Education aims to connect the student community with issues relating to forced migration and displacement across the globe. In an era of travel bans, border walls, and xenophobic nationalism, the diverse student body of the consortium seeks to promote intercultural understanding within the liberal arts framework to defend democracy, tolerance, and diversity worldwide.
Celebrate the scholarship of refugee and migrant voices in literature, social sciences, and performance and visual arts.
Support the rigorous academic program of the consortium by collaborating with refugee and migrant rights organization in the Bennington area.
Foster a geographically, historically and disciplinarily comprehensive understanding of forced migration across all disciplines.
